He was only 21 years old when he committed the crime that led to his incarceration. Since 2004, he has been serving a life sentence, locked away from society.

While his actions cannot be condoned, it is essential to separate the artist from the crime. Baumann’s artistic genius is undeniable, and his artwork provides a window into the depths of his mind.
