Deep into the dreadful confines of our unfortunate predicament- where our existence fades out of sight, mind, heart and emotions of others, You (DC) remember us and reach out to us in friendship solidarity, with humanity, and real kindness, “ Thank You” (DC) you’ve come to know us, to understand us, and to care for us in ways most others could not, would not, or careless to do at all, “ Thank You” In the constant degradation, abject humiliation, abandonment, and neglect that we suffer daily in this deep, cold, and deathly womb of incarceration, isolation, and loneliness, (DC) your friendship is a consoling companion, and true to our needs lifeline to those of us living behind these walls, “Thank You” In spite of our sins, flaws, and guiltiness (DC) you show us mercy, Empathy, and manifest grace, as well as forgiveness. “Thank You” In our deep regret, lamentation, and repentance for our transgressions, (DC) you offer us empathy, compassion, and afford us absolution, “Thank You” (DC) for our own REHABILITATION you provide encouragement, Hope, Support and confidence, and share your knowledge, wisdom, for our nourishment and enlightenment. “Thank You” (DC) when our circumstances threaten to turn us into animals and monsters, (DC) you help to shelter our very humanity, and in doing so inspire us to rise above the negatives of our world, to subjugate the beast within, to protect, promote, and be the best version of ourselves that we can be. “Thank You” For these reasons making you (DC) true, and indispensable allies in many of our battles as well as our triumphs, including those against our base aspects, “Thank You” (DC) Anonymous, stranger, friend, or significant other some of us may only be to some of you, But to all of us you (DC) are all more than you may think, and let me explain. You see (DC) your mere presence in our loves is reason enough for some of us to want to better ourselves when and where other reasons may not exist, “Thank You” (DC) Among souls of time Past, Present, and Future, yours is of “REAL” nature, and sublime substance. Because by the virtues of your enlightenment, magnanimous principles, benevolent deeds, and noble ways and actions, (DC) you help us to endure, overcome and to transcend the penitence for our ignoble deeds, ways and action, “Thank You” (DC) It is for these reasons and so many more that we behind these walls shall remain immeasurably grateful, and profoundly admiring as well as appreciative of you for being the illuminated, as well as uplifting incomparably beautiful Human Angels that you truly are to this world of incarceration, Thank You!
